A short story about life
A downloadable game for Windows
I made this prototype for a video game class with the theme being deceit. Its nothing crazy but I thought some people would like to try it :)
Controls: on the first stage you move on all directions with the arrow keys, and if you get to the second stage you can move left and right with arrow keys and jump with space.
Objective: collect all "objectives" in life to advance to the next stage.
Extra stuff: every time you grow in age in the game there is a small chance the game randomly ends, this chance is calculated by the percentage of death at that year of age from this actuary life table: https://www.ssa.gov/oact/STATS/table4c6.html
Meaning: I think the meaning of the game is pretty obvious so I would give it a go before reading this, but if you don't understand it here it is. I wanted to depict the deceit that life itself is, that even if we collect and do everything we are supposed to do to live a "successful" life, in the end we are all human, we are all going to suffer from the same fate, death
Credits:
Background music: Clair de Lune - Debussy performed by Rousseau on Youtube
